Minecraft Version 1.8

So I'm assuming everyone updated to 1.8.

That's a shame because the server is still 1.7.3 and will be until 1.8 bugs are ironed out and there is more plugins supported with it.

I'm not even sure how many of you guys actually took a look at this forum.

If you need 1.7.3 I can post it.

I haven't upgraded yet because I heard it's buggy as hell and crashes every 10 min.

1.8.1 is out

less buggy, endermen finally react.

For some reason my frame rates are still dropping like crazy.

Also fuck that lighting, fuck it with a rake.

Overall I found it subpar, the rivers are bland, chasms chops the landscape in a nonsensical and ugly way and it's more of a cluster fuck of shitty biomes. Oceans also need to be better.

The only thing I liked about this upate is Day-night progression.

I guess I'll update since there have been some bug fixes.

Yea u should update to 1.8 i've been stuck in 1.8 since i updated and couldn't find a 1.7 pack -.-

Well it's still buggy as fuck for me. I can't even tough my video settings or any options really without crashing the game. Also mange 1.9.0 prerelease already? Also notch going on a tangent. But at least he;s considering a golem monster.

Hmmm did u like try to reinstall mc like deleting the jar folder n stuff worked for me before if not then :S and i have 1.9 but the nether is laggy as shit for me there

Is high frame rate in games most dependent on graphics card,processor or ram?

It's not, framerate is dependent on the garbage collection of the java program. Notch repeatedly said that he can't fix it. I believe jeb talked about fixing how the java program handles memory but in most cases java will eat up all your memory as much as it can before it starts dumping objects and making more room.

That's why people with highend system keep complaining about framerates but notch keeps ignoring it. When you have this many people with this variety of system crashing from memory consumption there's a huge issue with the coding. Notch is ignoring it. Reddit keeps blaming the individual users.

Oh, I meant framerate in general for PC games.But that's interesting info about java nonetheless.

Framerate in other games depend on video card, processing speed and the works.

So no 1.8 for now ?

I will. Just know it won't have any plugins at all. Also I'm gonna keep rolling maps until we start with a nice ocean one.

I spawned in the enderman woods and made a dirt hut

The current map seems fine.I built a tower almost to the clouds to take a look around.The starting area is in the middle of a thick forest with a large lake to the west of the spawn.

I also spotted some surface lava nearby.

Made me think of camp crystal lake, except for the lava....

I tried playing on a pvp server but they have too many retarded rules.

-Cannot destroy player created stuff<bannable>
-Cannot attack people inside their homes<bannable>
-Cannot steal from other players<Bannable>
-Cannot use lava or water on somebodies home<Bannable>
-Cannot Harass players<bannable> (I can kinda agree with this one)
-No swearing in chat<Bannable>

ect.

That's why I don't like that sort of game. There are 3 different types of server that are standard to minecraft right now. PVP where you have assholes being assholes, creative where you have faggots just building ridiculous shit, and roleplaying god forbid any mention of them ever.

There is no true survival and it looks like /v/ has mostly withdrawn from the minecraft scene because of that.

I keep getting booted off the server

PvP is fine if you have a starting area where people are untouchable.Multiple exits, ect so people can't get camped when trying to leave.

I just think it's retarded how you can't RAPE,PILLAGE,BURN on servers that call themselves "PvP"

Remember final release is coming up and notch has barely started fixing the mechanics of the server. True survival mode will not be finished.
